Our Charity: Rose Brooks Center

by Laura on January 20, 2013

For over 30 years, The Rose Brooks Center has worked tirelessly at four things:

  • Keeping families safe
  • Creating a safer community
  • Rebuilding lives
  • Securing a brighter tomorrow (source)

The Rose Brooks Center gives those in need immediate safety and shelter from violence, but that’s not all. Each year Rose Brooks gives over 800 families a safe place to stay, and provides resources and support to help women and children break the cycle of domestic abuse. Safety and anonymity are guaranteed there, and families may stay for up to three months.

Rose Brooks provides therapy and tools during and after a stay at the facility to help people avoid violent situations. The center also provides support to the community through Project SAFE and The Bridge Program.

Domestic violence is an epidemic in this city and throughout the country. We feel strongly about supporting an organization that provides permanent solutions. It’s both an honor and a privilege to give back to The Rose Brooks Center through our show.
