I am so excited that Listen To Your Mother is coming to Denver, Mother’s Day 2013!
It has been such a thrill to follow along with Ann Imig’s idea as it expands each year . What started as one show in Madison, WI has now grown to include 24 cities all around the country. Listen To Your Mother is giving motherhood a voice and to see it unfold on a stage right in front of you is magic.
In 2011, while at the BlogHer conference in San Diego, I attended the LTYM Open Mic Salon. I walked into the room simply expecting to hear some nice stories and I walked out inspired by what I had just experienced. There is power in the spoken word and I knew that LTYM needed to find its way to Colorado.
Listen To Your Mother Show is a celebration, an opportunity for local writers to come together and share their stories live on stage. Motherhood means something different to everyone and I can’t wait to see how Denver comes together to embrace it.

My best friend used to live in Denver. Too bad she moved – would have been a great excuse to fly out for your show!
