As I try to imagine my perfect Mother’s Day, it goes like this…I wake up blissfully late to the smell of crepes wafting up the stairs. My sweet children’s faces greet me and their little hands (sans syrup) wrap around me. I am handed some freshly brewed coffee. A homemade card? Some uninterrupted exercise? A massage perhaps? And in this perfect world my day most certainly ends with a live performance at The Dairy Center where 250 people celebrate the wonders, woes and everything in between of motherhood.

The Dairy Center for the Arts is the place to be to experience live performance in Boulder. The spirit of Boulder lies closely with its culture, art, and education and thousands of patrons pass through The Dairy facilities each year, participating in and experiencing classes, workshops, exhibitions, films and dance, music, and theater performances.

We can’t wait to see you at The Dairy on Mother’s Day so that we can honor Motherhood together, in all its layered complexity. And not only will you be supporting this amazing national movement of 24 live Listen To Your Mother shows, but you will also be supporting our local cause, Parenting Place.

Auditions will be held at the end of February with details forthcoming. We can’t wait to hear your stories!
